The Horror!

Synopsis

This film is about Deviacas who is a prop designer for a commercial Haunted House who is considered to be very talented for his ability to create ultra realistic macabre creations. Unbeknown to the management of the Haunted House, Deviacas uses real humans to construct his grotesque creations. His shop is in a remote location, deep in the woods of the Hill Country where he either mummifies his victims alive to create corpses (which is rather disturbing), or dissects them, using their skeletons to construct extremely realistic bodies. When the Haunted House is open to the public, Deviacas can be found in the corridors behind the sets, keeping an eye on his creations, and keeping an eye out for vandals. You see, the vandals; the ones who would dare to damage or steal his creations, are the ones that he abducts and turns into props.

We will need extras and some bit part actors to be haunted house customers, haunted house actors, victims etc. Extras and bit parts are non-paid, but you will receive professional acting credit which can be listed in the Internet Movies Database and we can set up a profile for you if you don’t already have one.

There may also be some principle parts open that receive a profit sharing agreement.

We do require everyone to sign a talent release which is a distribution requirement and is not negotiable.

The Horror Haunted House is located in Austin, TX in the south mall complex of Lakeline Mall next to The Halloween Express Superstore.

The Horror Haunted House

We will be shooting some of the scenes on location at "The Horror Haunted House" in Austin, TX at the Lakeline Mall Complex.

This (left) is a trailer that we produced for the Haunted House; this is NOT the trailer for the film that we are shooting, however, it does "set the mood" to give you an idea of the "extreme horror" genre that this film will fall into.

Most of the footage that requires "Extras" will be shot at The Horror Haunted House by Lakeline Mall.

Most of the other scenes will be filmed in the North lake Travis area near Lago Vista.

Cast

Deviacas

Zachary P. Deviacas is a prop designer for a commercial haunted house called “The Horror.” He is also a semi-talented stage magician/illusionist, ventriloquist, and puppet master. Unbeknown to the management of the haunted house, Deviacas uses real human beings to construct his grotesque creations. His skills also include making puppets, which includes turning humans into corpse puppets which he accomplishes through a slow mummification process wherein he basically mummifies people while they are still alive.

Professor Giddings

Professor Giddings is a Dummy, but is also Deviacas’ sidekick who often offers his intellectual insights, providing Deviacas with the rational for the acts of depravity that are committed by him and his employees under his direction.

Penelope (Charlamagne Domiana)

Penelope

Penelope is Deviacas’ stage assistant. Penelope has “Regression Neurosis” which means that she behaves like, and believes that she is, a child. Though she appears to be harmless, she derives great amusement from the suffering of others.

Ezmer

Ezmer is a back woods Pig Farmer who lives deep in the woods near Deviacas’ ranch. Ezmer is not the sharpest tool in the shed and when he finds a pretty city girl caught in one of his snare traps he cannot resist the urge to take advantage of her… until his wife, Ethel, shows up…

Ethel

Ethel is Ezmer’s wife. She wears the pants in the family and has some pretty bizarre religious practices which includes crucifying pretty city girls if she catches them with her husband.

Mute

Mute is the Butcher. He doesn’t have much to say. His job is to keep track of the incoming livestock, including humans, and to slaughter and process the meat as needed. A true sociopath, he is very intimidating and wears a pointed leather mask.

The Victims

Barbra - Barbra tries to escape and ends up being crucified by some hillbillies with some strange religious beliefs.

Peg – Peg is meeting some friends at The Horror Haunted House. She is abducted after she steals a skull from the haunted house.

Meg – Meg is a victim who was captured along with her boyfriend, Mike, before Thanksgiving and they there when new victims arrive.

Mike – Mike is Meg’s Boyfriend and gets “processed” by Mute the Butcher.

Sue – Sue is traveling with her previously estranged father, Bill, to the mountains for a quiet Thanksgiving in the country.

Bill – Bill is Sue’s Dad. He and Sue are traveling to the mountains for a quiet Thanksgiving in the country where he hopes that they will be able to do some bonding.
