Casting Information This page
contains listings of open parts
for
upcoming productions.
If you are interested in being considered for this project please also read the General Information page, and the Frequently Asked Questions page before contacting us.... As mentioned in the General Information page, our films are intended to evoke a strong emotional response from the audience. In order for this to happen, the audience has to react viscerally to the plight of the characters which, in these films, is extreme. These are HORROR films! That means that traumatic things happen to some of the characters and other characters are causing those things to happen, so if you aren't comfortable acting in either of those situations, this might not be the right genre for you. Please
think about this before
applying for a part!
The Lead parts are compensated
with a
Deferred Payment Contract which pays the actor based on the success of
the
film. The amounts (percentage) paid for each part will be settled
on a
case by case basis. We will be offering a Deferred Payment Contract
that begins
payments to the lead actors and actresses when the film begins to turn
a
profit.
Please read more about deferred payments at the bottom of this page....
Supporting actors and actresses
and extras are
non-paid at this time. As
stated on the FAQ page, this is a low
budget, independent
production, so please do not expect to "get rich quick" or "quit
your day job" if you are selected for a part in one of these movies.
The
people involved in these projects do this because it is their passion,
not
because they are expecting to be showered with money. We hope that all
of our
films will be big successes, but we can't guarantee that they will be.
Just
want to be very clear on that.
Regarding scenes that contain brief partial
nudity, yes, some of the roles
require that we film some partial nudity. This is what
the
distributors want because is greatly increases sales. Because this
increases
sales, actresses who play these parts will compensation
agreements. If you are interested in a
part, please contact us! CASTING
CALL! We will need supporting actors and
some extras for "The
Vampire Chronicles"
to be vampire victims, local yocal's, law enforcement, etc.
Extras and bit parts are non-paid, but you will receive professional
acting credit which can be listed in the Internet Movies Database
and we can set up a profile for you if you don’t already have one.
There may also be some principle parts that receive a profit sharing agreement. We do require everyone to sign a talent release which is a distribution requirement and this is not negotiable. The following is a list of current open parts for "The Vampire Chronicles ~ Episode One" Lynn - Supporting Actress Lynn is an investigative
reporter for "The Glob" which is a sleazy tabloid that publishes
anything that will sell copies to those lacking common sense. Lynn has
traveled to Abberdine County where she hopes to find the owner of a
bizzare side show to no avail. Talking to a few locals, she takes an
interest in the vampire legends and, when she gets too nosey, is
captured by the local vampire clan.
This is the biggest supporting role available at this time and should require several short days of shooting at most. If you are interested in being considered for this project please also read the General Information page, and the Frequently Asked Questions page before contacting us..... ========================================================================== Max - Supporting Actor Max is one of Monica's
co-workers and likes to play strange video games. This part would only
require a one day shoot for a few hours at most, unless expanded for
episode two.
If you
are
interested in being considered for this project please also read the General Information page,
and the Frequently Asked Questions page before contacting us..... ========================================================================== Local Business Employee - Supporting Actor Need a country-fied local
employee who could be working in a local convenience store, general
store, hardware store etc, to give directions and tell some tall
tales to lynn. This would be a short, one day shoot that shouldn't take
more than a few hours.
If you are interested in being considered for this project please also read the General Information page, and the Frequently Asked Questions page before contacting us..... ========================================================================== Local Bartender - Supporting Actor Need a local bartender
who could be working in a local bar, to warn Lynn that there "aint no
vampares" in that cemetery and she ought to not be mess'n around down
there. This would be a short, one day shoot that shouldn't take more
than a few hours.
If you are interested in being considered for this project please also read the General Information page, and the Frequently Asked Questions page before contacting us..... =========================================================================== EXTRAS! Need several extras
including one featured extra that would be a cashier in a restaurant.

If you are interested in being considered for this project please also read the General Information page, and the Frequently Asked Questions page before contacting us..... ========================================================================== About Deferred Payment Contracts Most of the independent movie producers in
Texas
are not making cash payments to the actors because, like most
independent producers, they don't have any money in their budgets to
pay the actors. Instead, they offer the actors what is called a
“Deferred
Payment.” This means that if the film grosses a certain amount at
the box office / video store, the actor will receive a payment. The
industry standard for “Deferred Payments” is that $50,000.00 will be
paid
to the actor if the film grosses $10,000,000.00 (ten million), then an
additional $50,000.00 for each additional ten million. If the film
never
reaches the ten million mark, the actor receives nothing. Unfortunately
the vast majority of low budget, independent films never even come
close to reaching that ten million dollar mark, so in these cases, the
actors are not paid anything at all. The actors that work are working
because they have a passion for acting, and because it gives them
exposure in the film industry.
We, at B Film Productions, want our actors and actresses to receive a payments long before the film grosses ten million! We will be offering a “Deferred Payment” contract that begins paying the actor as soon as the film begins to make a profit, rather than waiting for the film to gross ten million, for their performances. If the film that you are in is a big success, or even a moderate success, we want you to share in the profits! If you are new to film acting, the payment you receive does two things for you. 1) It establishes you as a professional actor. 2) It is a step towards qualifying for membership in the Actors Guild, if you are interested in pursuing that. Of course, there is no guarantee that any of our films will make a large profit but even if one of our films has some moderate success we want our actors and actresses to benefit from that success. As stated on the FAQ
page, this is a low budget, independent production, so please do not
expect to "get rich quick" or "quit your day job" if you are selected
for a part in this movie. We hope that all of our films will be big
successes, but we can't guarantee that they will be.
Just want to be very clear on
that.
If you are interested in
helping on the production end of the project,
doing camera work, lighting, makeup, etc., please email us and let us
know what you're interested in doing. Again, due to budget constraints,
we can't pay the production staff, but we will include the your names
in the credits.
